Does Zoom! Teeth Whitening hurt?

This is the first question answered because it is in fact one of the most commonly asked questions that we get. Tooth sensitivity occurs due to the dehydration of the tooth that occurs when potent bleaching agents are used. Thousands of tiny channels in the dentin layer of the tooth called “tubules” are dried out during most tooth whitening treatments and become temporarily more permeable, which can result some sensitivity. Using a toothpaste with a sensitivity formula is helpful to some patients who experience tooth sensitivity after whitening. Any sensitivity is almost always minor, and dissipates quickly.

How does Zoom! Whitening work?

Zoom! Whitening gel has carbamide peroxide, a powerful bleaching agent, as an active ingredient that whose properties are assisted by a specialized light that helps to activate the whitening mechanisms of the teeth whitening formula. The bleaching agents penetrate the enamel and dentin layers of the tooth and work to remove the stains in these layers.

How long does the treatment process take?

The entire Zoom! Teeth Whitening treatment takes approximately an hour from start to finish and is accomplished entirely in-office. There are various steps in the treatment process that range in duration from 5 to 20 minutes, and total treatment time may last up to 75 minutes.

How long do Zoom! Whitening results last?
